What ArborHub prices

Four kinds of tree work, priced the same way in every Texas city: removal, trimming, stump grinding and emergency storm work. Each city carries its own cost factor on top of one statewide base table, so a 60-foot oak is priced differently in Frisco than in Laredo. Pick a service to see every city at once: tree removal, tree trimming, stump grinding, emergency service.

How the estimate works

  1. The photo becomes a measured tree. An object-detection model boxes every candidate tree, then a vision model drops the poles, fences and shadows and assigns a species, a height band and a size category.
  2. The size band becomes a Texas range. Small trees under 25 feet price from about $150 to $450 for removal; a 75-foot tree runs $2,500 to $5,000. The city factor then moves that range up or down, from 0.80x in Brownsville and Laredo to 1.20x in Frisco.
  3. You get a range, not a bid. Pick which trees need work, choose the service and see the number. Nothing is charged and no account is created.

The full method, the base table, every city factor and the known failure modes are on the methodology page. The raw table is downloadable as JSON and CSV at the pricing data page.

What the arithmetic looks like

Same removal table, three city factors. The base range is statewide; the city factor is applied to both ends and rounded to the dollar, exactly as the city pages do it.

CityTree heightTexas baseCity factorRange
Dallas25โ€“50 ft$450โ€“$1,2001.10x$495โ€“$1,320
Dallas75+ ft$2,500โ€“$5,0001.10x$2,750โ€“$5,500
Austin25โ€“50 ft$450โ€“$1,2001.15x$518โ€“$1,380
Austin75+ ft$2,500โ€“$5,0001.15x$2,875โ€“$5,750
San Antonio25โ€“50 ft$450โ€“$1,2000.95x$428โ€“$1,140
San Antonio75+ ft$2,500โ€“$5,0000.95x$2,375โ€“$4,750

A $2,500 difference between Dallas and San Antonio on the same 75-foot tree is the factor, not the tree. Stump grinding, hauling and permits are separate on every quote.

What it costs in your city

Thirty Texas cities have their own page with a price table by tree size, the local permit rule, and the tree species that drive the work. The statewide table with every city and every service is at Texas tree service costs by city.

Where the estimate is weakest

A photo shows the canopy, not the risk. It cannot see root decay, hidden lean, a hollow trunk, buried utilities, or whether a truck can get within reach of the tree. It also cannot price a permit, hauling or stump work you did not ask for. Treat the range as a budget check, and treat a written quote from a licensed arborist as the real number.

Who does the work

ArborHub does not remove trees and does not employ arborists. It prices the job and passes homeowner requests to Texas contractors, who quote and complete the work themselves. Tree service companies can see how that works on the contractor page. The site is run by Sam French, is not a tree service, and earns a flat fee from a contractor only when a job closes.

Common questions

How much does tree removal cost in Texas?

Removal runs about $150 to $450 for a tree under 25 feet and $2,500 to $5,000 for a 75-foot tree, before the city cost factor. Austin, Plano, McKinney and Frisco price above the statewide base; Brownsville, Laredo, Abilene and Amarillo price below it. The estimator applies the city factor for you.

Is the estimate free?

Yes. One photo, about a minute, no account and no phone call. ArborHub does not charge for the range.

How accurate is a photo estimate?

The size band is usually right. The range is a budget number, not a bid: a photo cannot see root decay, hidden lean, underground lines or how a crew reaches the tree. Expect a written quote to land inside the range on a simple job and above it when access or decay is worse than the photo shows.

Does ArborHub remove trees?

No. ArborHub prices the job and passes requests to Texas contractors, who quote and do the work themselves.

Which cities are covered?

Thirty Texas cities, from Amarillo to Brownsville. Every city has its own cost factor and a page showing removal, trimming, stump grinding and emergency ranges.
